Terms of Service

Last updated 12 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Rogers Pets (the "Directory"). By using the Directory you agree to them. Rogers Pets is a UK pet-sitter directory that helps owners find independent sitters. We are not a veterinary, boarding, care or payment provider, and we do not facilitate, hold or process any payment between owner and sitter.

1. What we are

Rogers Pets is an information directory. Sitters listing on the Directory are independent providers, not our employees or agents. Any care contract is between the owner and the sitter — we are not a party to it.

We cross-check council animal-boarding licences against public registers and display the result on the relevant profile. We do not inspect sitters' premises, supervise individual jobs, or guarantee any particular outcome.

2. Listings & fees

Sitter listings are free. Rogers Pets may charge sitters for optional Featured or Premium placement, and for qualified owner enquiries forwarded to them. Owners are never charged a fee by Rogers Pets for browsing the Directory or contacting sitters.

Payment for the care service itself is arranged and made directly between the owner and the sitter. We never take, hold, refund or otherwise touch that payment, and we take no commission on it.

3. Sitter obligations

Sitters must hold any licences and insurance the law requires for the services they offer, keep their listing accurate, and comply with the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and, where applicable, the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018.

Misrepresenting a licence, qualification or insurance status is grounds for immediate removal.

4. Owner obligations

Owners must give accurate information about their pet, including health, behaviour and vaccination status, and must hold appropriate third-party liability where relevant. Withholding material information that affects a pet's or sitter's safety may invalidate any protection.

Because the care arrangement is made directly with the sitter, owners are responsible for satisfying themselves of the sitter's suitability before agreeing care.

5. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rogers Pets's liability arising from your use of the Directory is limited to the total fees you have paid Rogers Pets (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent sitters or owners, nor for any payment dispute between them.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
